Susan was a plain looking girl who was born with a learning disability. She grew up to quietly serving her parish in West Lothian, Scotland. But Susan had a talent and desire to sing. With the encouragement of her mother, she sang in the church choir. “It was my mum who got me into singing properly – she knew I had to do something with my voice because she knew I was talented” Susan said.Susan’s mother passed away in 2007 at the age of 91. For more than a year, Susan did not sing. Then in August 2008, forty-seven year old Susan auditioned for the television show “Britain's Got Talent.” She made it to the final round and sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from the opera “Les Miserables”. The performance brought the audience to its feet and soon the world was blessed Susan Boyle’s talented voice.
The talents and gifts you have are to bless others and to build them up in Jesus Christ. Today in prayer, praise the Lord that He has given you talents and gifts to bless others and to glorify His name.
